Vacation Day 1

My first day of vacation has gone well so far. I got to enjoy my coffee & breakfast on the patio. I downloaded a new book on my Kindle and listened some some good music.

I don't know when I am heading out for my long awaited trip. That's what makes this all the more fun. Not even sure where I am going. Not even going to plan it since I am now going to be a free spirited woman with a little bohemian in me. 

Hope to have more adventurous news tomorrow.

August 18, 2013 (My 44th birthday)

Had a grand time at my brothers for my birthday party.  Good food and just being together made me so happy.  Great gifts too.

Becky, Dana, & I had a great time last night at The Redbirds game.  We had a rain delay but the got to finish their game.  The food and fireworks were great too.  Perfect weather for a nighttime ball game.

I bought two nice blouses this afternoon. I like all this going out so I want to look sharp.  Ha ha.  I am going to buy some new underclothes, bras, and socks next week.  

I an going to start tomorrow morning off by coloring my hair.  I got it cut Saturday morning.  My grey is really showing now that I am getting older.  I am going to color it darker in the fall.  It might make me feel better.

Redbirds game and fireworks were awesome last night.  Had a great time with Becky and Dana.  I ate so much that I won't be hungry for a while.  We got there early and net a lot of people.  Great experience.  

Tomorrow I will go to church and then to my brothers to celebrate my birthday.  I can't wait to see my family.  It's been two weeks since I have seen them.

Started celebrating my birthday early with Aunt  Lorene and Arthur at the Oak Ridge Boys concert.  Had a great time at the concert and loved the big buffet.  I got a card and some money too.

I am taking off next week for a vacation.  Not sure what I am doing of where I am going.  All I know is I am not going to work and they better not call me.

Counting the days till I am off for a whole week.  Still not sure what I will do yet.  So  many choices; so little money.   I am sure I will end up somewhere in Northwest Arkansas.  I am looking at options tonight but still not so sure.  

I know they are going to want me to cancel my plans next week but I can't.  I have been waiting to long to be able to go somewhere.  I am devoted to my job but this time I am devoted to Ruby.

Going to have a good time this weekend.  Everything is going well so far.  I just want to have fun and enjoy myself for a change.

We had our annual Lions Club pancake breakfast for the Sunflower blues festival.  We weren't busy as we were last year.  I got there early to help cook and set up.

Cooked a great supper of baked, seasoned pork chops, green beans, and mashed potatoes.  I only ate one plate too.  I have enough left for two more meals.  

Been watching movies and playing on my phone most of the day.  My DVD player has gone out on my new laptop.  I hope to get it fixed soon.  I love that laptop.

Jessica moved into MSU today.  I didn't go because there wasn't enough room in the car and I didn't want to drive alone.  I am going to go visit her one weekend in September   or October.

CI am counting the days till I go on vacation.  I think I am going to ride to Heber Springs,AR and camp for a few days.  I might even carry Maggie with me.  All I need is a tent that I can put up and take down in a few minutes.  I have everything else I need.  I am going to bring my portable washing machine, coffee pot, little grill, cooler, etc with me.  My tea will be already made and in the jug.  This is going to be do much fun!  I hope my car can carry all of my stuff.  This is going to be a great survival experience and I am going to make the most of it.
